"Official" NFL Smack Talkin' Thread

Now that the Lions have hired Quinn away fro the Patriots, I wonder if we can cheat well too?

Damn, Seattle started so poorly they couldn't make it up. And then I was yelling to kick the field goal before the half but they had to go for it on fourth down....

I am not happy for the four teams left. I'll be rooting against the cheaters for sure, and probably for the Cardinals.

A few highlights,

They say “if you arent cheating, you arent trying”. If that’s true, then these sports figures were all trying VERY hard. Click below to see our list of Sports’ 14 Biggest Cheaters Of All Time!

3. The New England Patriots - Their Belichick-Brady era of success has brought with it several championships but also more than a few accusations of questionable tactics. Chiefly, the Spygate scandal, for which they were punished severely, and the recently exposed Deflategate have caused many to question the franchises methods and some to view their titles as tainted.

9. Tonya Harding - The figure skater had her boyfriend and some goons break the leg of her rival, Nancy Kerrigan, before the 1994 Championships. Guess she took “break a leg” a little to literally…

11. East German Women’s Swim Team - After the unification of East and West Germany, declassified documents showed that the country had been developing thousands of steroid-enhanced super-athletes over the previous 20 years.

I'm a bit surprised they are only number three on the all-time list. But, they did finish in front of Barry Bonds and Lance Armstrong. In other polls, they are as high as 2nd and as low as 12th. But, they are in the top 15 on every poll out there.......

I wonder if Denver's defense can stop Carolina's offense? If all of their guys are back healthy, they may have a chance.....

Belichick, Brady Can’t Break Free From Shadow Of Cheating

There’s no way in the universe you will ever convince me the Patriots began to cheat just before they were caught doing so. You will never convince me they got pinched the first time the acted like swindlers.

That said, whether it was Spygate, Deflategate, the jamming of headsets, sneaking into visiting locker rooms and stealing play sheets before games or some other transgression, this was the New England Patriots’ opportunity — at least it seemed — to march onward and win a Super Bowl on the up-and-up.

This was their chance to do it fair and square.

This was their chance to break free from under the shadow of cheating and duplicitous behavior.

They didn’t.

Calvin Johnson announced his retirement. Almost identical to Barry Sanders retiring after 10 seasons of futility by the team.....:(
