I was reading through this thread for a laugh and discovered the above. The French colonized what is modern day Quebec. The British won them after war with France. So both are equally to blame for Canada!!!!!! The American founding Fathers tried to stop a Canadian nation by offering Upper and Lower Canada automatic statehood if they wished in the original Articles Of Confederation but sadly they didn't bite and Canada came into being a real country in 1982!!!!!!!
