Obama and boating?

I cant see recreational boating being much of a hot political topic. But then again I could imagine, luxury tax of some sort, massive recreational boating fuel taxes, so on and so forth.

If they can afford to burn all that $$ for pleasure on the water than they can afford to pay more taxes.

Well, given the fact that he can't swim, I don't think boating is high up on his list of favorite activities

He may just demand better fuel milage from boats??? If the Green people get hold of us.. I think it will be bad for boating.
When your neighbor asks just how green that 1000hp motor is, tell him figure out an Electric 1000hp, water compatible, setup and we will do it! Just my .02

If high-performance boats are too green, and run on some kind of wacky fuel in the future, they wont be as cool..... now who wants a quiet boat! Lets keep powerboats loud!

Your boat is gonna be the first on obamas list...that 2-stroke eggbeater on sr. speedy will be the first thing they ban:26:

Not Obama, but dem/lib/green/marx/hippy related:

I work for an org that is pro-green. If asked... my plan is to fall back on how rarely a boat like mine is used. And that I will average less fuel burn per year in the boat than in my vehicle that I use to drive the 65 mile round trip commute to work each day, which gets 34 hwy. Thus making my recreational impact less than the impact of being a key staff member of the org where I work. At 34mpg. :D
I thought about this aspect a lot before

I sent a letter to Obama a while back concerning the "bilge water permit", since he is from my state. He, or more likely, one of his cronies actually replied that he was suportive of recreational boating and would do everything in his power to prevent the bill from having any impact on us. Not that means much, he has a history of saying what people want to hear.
