Noreaster?

Amazing how much difference 50 miles can make! We didn't really get snow till around 2pm and accumulating around 4pm, now we have about 4-5 inches but its coming down hard now!

Looks like south is definitely gettingit worse!

your right frank, i think i only got an inch or two. guess i got lucky.

Its really bad down here now.Got about 20 inches and still snowing was just out on the tractor plowing and you can't see with the snow blowing.
Will post some pictures tomorrow

Nice! I spoke to my sister Fran this morning, she's about 20 miles south of your place, she said she has 2 ft! :ack2::willy_nilly:

Hey Old School...thank you for posting the picture of the snow at your place! You know we like it in Florida without the cold white stuff, but it is sure is pretty to see pictures of. Like they say a snowballs chance in the south.... is slim to none.

Thank you for Christmas Dream Craig!

Julie

Your welcome Julie. Same shots, one day later.:)
We ended up with 21 inches.:sifone:

Since the roads were a mess and we were sure that the PoPo were busy, we decided to drive our "toys" up to our local restaurany/bar for a little lunch. It's just under a mile.:driving::driving:

Finally in Florida on the Azimut after flying to JFK getting told our flights have been cancelled and the next flight open for us is Tuesday...

So we rented the Nissan Altima for the whole family drove through the blizzard last night from New York left at 4PM to the border of VA and NC 2AM stayed in a hotel and got to the boat tonight at 9PM.

One question.... Do the state of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia own any snowplow???
Beat my record of seeing 19 cars in the ditch on a trip... it is now 48... Does anyone here know how to drive on snow???

Damn glh, you were determined!!!!

As for the question about the snow driving and plows.... Pretty sure south of mason dixon not many people know how to drive in the snow and they claim they don't have the equipment but it does snow down there......I must say they did a pretty good job where I live... Main roads were plowed before anyone got up and my road was done in the middle of the night and again mid-morning. I saw about 4-5 cars in the ditch yesterday, all little cars that don't belong on the road during a blizzard!
