We're adding a new membership classification to our site-

When we started building this site, we knew we wanted to be more inclusive and connected to the racing world than we had been previously. But the day-to-day of getting the thing running sort of pushed the effort to the side.
Now, racing season is upon us. It's time for us to get back to our original plan. We've been talking with Augie Pensa lately about how the site can get the word out to people about how they can become more involved with powerboat racing. Expect to hear more in the coming weeks about some exciting things that will be happening between SeriousOffshore, our members and the racing community, especially with OPA.
But for now, we're opening an entirely new category of membership- Competitor. If you're a racer, crew chief or owner, you qualify for one of these all-access memberships to the site at no cost. We'll be working in the next week to coordinate enrollment for this group. We'll be updating some existing members and enrolling new one's. And if you're already a Founder or Charter, you'll keep that staus as well as the new Competitor status.
For those of you that didn't know, Ted Ginnity is our Director of Competition here at the site. You'll be hearing much more from Ted in the coming weeks and through the '09 season.
