I've been working on a new design for the dash of my 382. It came with a full gauge panel and I had to remove the compass to create a new panel to mount/hold the GPS unit. I wanted to move it to the main panel so I ended up starting over completely. It's not quite finished yet, but here are so pics for the work in progress...........

After talking with Formula I was put in touch with Innotech Products who makes the Carbon Fiber panels for Formula. Steve (the owner) worked with me and my design to get all 5 of my panels made just like the new factory panels. I can't believe how many wires there are behind these panels......must have had 10 miles of them in my hands before everything was dismantled.

We were concerned one of the panels would be problematic and Steve called me before Fedex even showed up with them Friday (they were running late) to see what I thought. Well, it wasn't going to look like I wanted so he said he's have a new one made by end of the day Monday to ship out to me.......so no pics of the finished product yet!!!!
So far he's been great to work with, the prices have seemed more than fair and I highly recommend giving them a shot if your looking for custom dash panels. I figured I've only spent a little more than have my old panels power-coated and re-silk screened yet this looks SO much better than that would have!!!

BTW what compass did you remove? I am looking for a specific replacement for a 38 Cig we are working on. Think its a Richie model 500 or 550 or something ... I will post pics and more detailed info.
Not sure but it's white and I'm putting it back in the boat.

Makes you glad Formula uses modular wiring harnesses, huh? Can you imagine if you had to disconnect each wire individually before removing the dash, instead of unplugging the whole assembly???? :ack2:
Your not kidding.....other than a few wires that were used for added equipment, I was able to pull the harnesses apart and sit in front of the TV while taking averything apart and re-wiring the new panels.......in the comfort of the house instead of hunched over the steering wheel in 25-35 degree weather!!!!
The panels are vibrant red and look great......need some daylight photos.
If anyone is looking for something like this give Steve a call. He was really easy to work with and did a great job for less than I was expecting.
