Need gift ideas

not sure if they have this near you, but how about a champagne hot air balloon ride.

At the ski resorts they have a couple’s massage and gourmet dinner package. They come to the house give you a massage, cook and serve dinner. I also like the wine of the month, or flower of the month or maybe like someone else suggested a high end meet club, Omaha Steaks has good stuff, this way every month they think of you.

Or you can get them a beautiful sterling silver pitcher from a place like Tiffany's and have it engraved on the bottom. We have several that have been passed down from Ian's Grandfather, they were gifts to him from his hospital staff in the 30's and 40's. I keep them out on display and often use them as flower vases. Something like that is a real keepsake.

Looking for a present for the man or couple that has every thing.

Some friends are throwing us an engagement party and I want to get them a gift. You name it; they got it or don't want it so I'm having a hard time finding some thing unique.

What's a cool present you have received or given?

How much do you want to spend?

Hot air balloon ride, theater & dinner with a limo

Can you get digital pics of them and put a slide show to music

Thanks!

They travel all the time so was trying to steer clear of an event. I've given the balloon ride dinner thing to a few people- they all liked it but was a long ride to get to the place that does it.

How about putting the limit around $1K?

How about a dinner package aboard a boat?

I doubt you have enough time left to pull this off, but I had someone thank me for something by having a local artist do a 16x24 painting of my home, then had it framed. Something that I have hanging on my wall that I will never forget where it came from

That's a great idea if you have a home that is special to you. Friends down the street designed and built a very nice house, they had two pictures made, summer and winter. I think it was a photo that was greatly enhanced and colored in to make it look like a colored pencil drawing. We live on a small lake and the lots are sort of woodsy so it came out really nice. They also had the pictures made into note cards. I would love to have something like that done but it was not cheap.

Yeah, I have know idea what it cost them, just figured I would throw it out there. It is one thing that I look at almost everyday and really appreciate. an RV can be special to you if it is a "home" ! :26: :biggrinjester: :cheers2:

LOL about the RV!! Great ideas-keep'em coming!!

Good idea but they move more than anyone I know.

This is where they are throwing our party at- just built it last year and have been in it about 4 months. Every thing is always for sale but they always move/build some thing grander than the last.

Here is their house about a mile south of where we are getting married in South Carolina- the 5th house they have had down there in the last 3 years.

1st 2 MD house, 3rd pic SC house

Ya'll are probably wondering what kind of nut would let my trailer trash azz invite 160 people to their $3M home and pay for a full catered seafood, full service bar for me would ya? HAHAHA- I am great aren't I! J/K. They are awesome people with hearts of gold that I am proud to call friends!

I am guessing this party is costing them $10Kish. That doesn't include all the extra stuff like they had a guys working 7 days a week to get their pool done in time to lay sod, had another gazebo installed to make sure there is enough room for everyone, are having palm trees brought up from South Carolina since that is our theme and so on.

This was cool-was going to get their house vs a boat (they have a pontoon) but then figured it would be a waste when they moved.

ps- only listing their houses because these 2 are for sale so if you are buying I want a commission!! (yard and driveway being done; like said only been there a few months)

Gorg homes!

I'm not sure what you buy someone who has everything. Not an easy task for sure.

Yep, the only thing is memorabillia.

We have an autographed picture made out to us from the Blue Angels that means a lot. Friend was a air-frames specialist with them. Didn't cost him a cent I'm sure, means a heck of a lot to us as a thankyou. We've gone to see them several times and have met most.

So, what do they collect? And how do you personalize it from the two of you? Crystal, antiques, etc. It has got to be something that will always be special. My wife collects crystal, I collect hand-made wooden ship models and ships in bottles.

An antique putter signed by Jack or Arnie in a case from the two of you?
