Need gas grill suggestions

I am in need of a new gas grill. I have a Weber right now and it has lasted 15 years. So I would like to find one that will last just as long. So give me some suggestions of what you have and how you like it

lotsa Chinese junk (no pun intended) out there; last for about 2 1/2 seasons then the corrosion gets 'em

We keep ours in the garage and wheel out when we cook. Last grill lasted 13 years lol... so far so good.. .very nice setup!!!

One thing about major purchases at Lowe's: you can register for a one-time use "moving" coupon on their website by allowing them to send you emails. You get 10% of any purchase up to $5,000. They don't ask how recently you moved or will move.
That could be a hundred bucks off a nice grill. (Assuming nearly a grand for a big one.)

After looking at literally every brand of grill available last summer. I finally bought a Weber. Cast iron burners and racks, nothing to rot out in a year. Whatever you buy, if it stays outside, do yourself a favor and buy a cover for it.

And buy an extra cover NOW! I have a grill that is "L" shaped and fits nicely in the corner of the deck. The custom cover it came with lasted about 8 years. When I tried to order a new one, they were no longer made. Off-the-shelf covers don't fit my grill. I wish I had bought a spare cover right away.

They (Weber) have a dealer locator that will tell you who sells Summit series near you by model and zip code. Two dealers popped up near me, a Do It Best hardware store and a local mega-appliance store.

We bought the Summit Platinum something or other (Terri did:sifone:) after checking out evrything there was. It is a heck of a cooker, doesn't fall apart........

thanks for the link Fund. I like the Summit. Will have to see if I can find one close by. Thanks for the input guys.

That's the problem with today's society.....no one has time for charcoal.....it doesn't seem right unless you have that overpowering lighter fluid taste on your steaks!:drool5:

No prob. Grilling is a high priority to me. :D
I use a gas grill and charcoal at the same time. :o

Looking for dealers who sell the Summit line near you reminds me of the summer that I attended a wedding in Pittsfield, Ill. (It was the third week of July, 1993. Just a little flooding.)
We drove up to Quincy the day that the barge thing hit that gas station.

My sister has a pellet grill. Works kinda like a conventional oven. Plug it in, turn the dial to the temp you want, and the thing even lights itself. Made turkey on it with wood chips for smoking. OMG, it was awesome :drool5:
