These videos show the difference between Naval Aviation and any other kind. The links below are two outstanding videos about F-18 carrier operations aboard the USS Nimitz during weather that causes a severely pitching deck, which you can see in the videos. It's more dangerous than most combat missions and the tension in the pilots and crew is very apparent. Watch Part one first. Great videos

Awesome , a good friend of mine left a permanent dent with his tailhook on the U.S.S. Constellation....it also broke the Airframe on the A-7 he was flying (night landing) as we say in the military " The Next thing you know, you are in a room with a long table, and everyone has a glass of water except you"

Watch the video.

Now think about the guys doing it in WW II. The ocean still did it's thing. The boats were way smaller. They had absolutely no technology.

What our present day military accomplishes is heroic and miraculous. What those old guys did 65 years ago was nothing short of superhuman.

Un-friggin-real..............And what Chris said is mind blowing. Gives me goosebumps thinkin about that night landing

And my uncles Best buddy was killed on the Nimitz during a landing drill when a plane missed and hit the plane he was working in. Back in 78 i think...........Hear some great stories about him
