MTI Z044 Pics

I've got the same opinion (you know what they about those) of this as I do the rest of the MTI theme boats......

I can appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail involved in building these things, but I've still yet to figure out why someone would want one.

If I had the coin to have a $1M + boat custom built, you can bet your azz I wouldn't be asking for it to look like a car, a movie set, a cartoon or anything else besides a boat.

Have you ever seen anyone customize their Enzo to look like a boat? Me neither.

Flame suit on.

I kinda agree, But you gotta admitt this one is not the over the top graphicly over indulged cartoon and it may actuly stand the test of time.

Nice work but must be a sign of the times, first Mercedes, then Ferrari and now Corvette....the boom is over and the Mustang/VW MTI must be in the works for next year.

I love their theme boats but wouldn't want one. George's 44 Yellow/Purple flame is my favorite yet. Simple paint, fast and was one of a kind when it was built. Skater is taking the custom boats to a new level with the stuff they have been putting out lately.

Talked to Derrick at the Tulsa show and he said he'll keep it on the trailer and he plans to bring it out to play with us some at Grand but he also has a place in Destin.

He is a HUGE Vette guy and he wants a Vette boat and is writing checks so he gets a Vette boat. Nuf said? I love the opinions of those that start with "If I had................." Hell he got a Maserati and a F430 Spider for Christmas but that had already been done.

WOW, very nice. Which MTI's will be on the poker run??:cheers2: I won't be in town until Tuesday, but would love to see this boat!!!

I agree with rainm... I completely understand theme boats.. and if I was having a boat built for that coin it would be how I wanted... what I don't understand is that if (not even thinking about expense) you go thru that much hassle, picking, choosing, working with the mfg, constant evaluation and input, why turn arounbd and sell itfor a lose?? the ferrari boat has been listed forever, batman's for sale, first I ever saw of looney tones was a listing, the mercedes boat got sold.. if you put that much into something exactly the way you want it why not hold on to it and enjoy it???

IMHO, if you've got that kind of jack, then most of the enjoyment comes from the design and build. Once it's done, it's time to move onto the next project. I hope I get to that point someday! :sifone:

I think they build and buy then put up for sale knowing it will take a while to move. Enjoy it for a bit and by the time they are ready to move on they have a buyer.

I think it is pretty awesome the guy has what sounds like a stable of world class cars and still loves American horsepower!

I think thats the best cockpit interior of any themed boat Ive seen.

Did anyone ever buy the Batman MTI?

For the record, I commissioned the VW MTI. It will have some sweet 1.8 Diesels in it. :)

The Batman boat has been used lots by it's owners. It was on the LOTO fun run in '07.
