DSC00298.JPGThought I would update my scooter stuff. We just returned from a 6,200 mile adventure. We left Fort Worth at 3 am May 10 and did 1024 miles for the iron butt thingy to get our patch and stuff. We actually hit Loop 820 and I-20 at 3:30 am and we were sitting on our porch at the Larian Motel in Tombstone, Arizona at 7 PM that evening. We made it to Midland/Odessa in 4 hours and 15 minutes and yes...we were hauling ass. We do this every year and if anyone would like to go along on our next adventure...just holler. We dont care what you ride...just something big enough to keep up.

You can see all of our adventures here... https://www.youtube.com/user/HondaGoldwingGL1800 (any questions...just ask) All the videos are arranged by State and year.

For those of you in Arizona or close...ride their road called The Devils Highway 666 (actually highway 191 that runs North & South). This is a ripe road in places and it will make the Dragon's Tail look like a freeway. Devils highway is 103 miles long with over 3000 turns, curves and switchbacks. There are also no guardrails on most of it, so you dont get a chance for a "do-over" if you screw up and go over. There are many places that the fall wont hurt you, but the sudden stop at the bottom is going to screw up the rest of your day. We have been on this road from both directions now and it is great.

We went to Yellowstone this year and you can see what put "bite-marks" on my seat when you get to the video that has BUFFALO on the title. I dont mind saying it...I was pretty nervous. We always carry and I carry a 40 cal. You can see my arm move and I am pulling out my weapon for that just in case. What I didnt see was the ranger car behind me and he saw me pull my weapon. He made a stop at the next hot pool with us and told me that he was glad that I didnt shoot one of the bullalo that was walking along. I told him that I didnt want to shoot it but that if it had started to attack me, I was going to. He laughed and said that a 40 cal would only piss it off and I replied with...then I will piss it off 12 times.
