Motor damages during shipping ???????

Everyone makes dumb ass mistakes sometimes. whats important i think in the service industry, is that you own up to it and make it right, even if you lose your ass at least you wont lose your integrity.

I think thats kind of the problem with the world right now is too many people have forgotten about "personal responsibilty" my .02

Ditto that.

Too many people want to blame everything on someone else. Makes me crazy sometimes. I've done more than my share of screwin up, but have always accepted the responsibility after.

Hope this all works out for you.

That's why I love mercury. Before you send it you know your going to get ****ed. They even lube you up prior. In all seriousness that is one good thing about mercury, they are a big company to back their service.

Well thnx Jeremy :sifone: that sure made me feel a whole lot better :ack2:
We need 4 of them Jaeger B@mbs and put then on Braces tab

Wow im sorry to hear that this happened to you. We deal a lot in the salvage freight business and you would be amazed at all the damaged stuff we get in due to being packaged incorrectly. If we receive a package and sign before the damage is seen most of the time we get our money back but we are also not talking about about a motor all of our stuff is smaller and less expensive. In this case I think someone needs to come forward and make it right since you had no handling in packing crating or even shipping the item. They could also do like you said and say eat it which I hope is not the case. Keep us updated on how it goes and best of luck to you.

1. Why are you shipping all the way to AZ?????????? Just imagine if anything goes wrong with the motors, will they step up then?

2. I know who it is but out the guy before they screw someone else. Let 'em dispute it on the boards. You outing them on the boards IS your future warranty as well.

Sorry to hear about your luck bro!

But they said he was the BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:sifone:

one of two people are at fault, the company that shipped the motors or the shipping company. If the shipping company says it was not packed properly then the motor guy is at fault and I would assume you would have a good case against him. Have you talked to or filed a claim with the shipping company.

Did you pay the shipping company directly or pay the shipping costs to the engine guy. We are going through a similar situation on a MUCH smaller scale with a motor (non boating) purchased on ebay and shipped via UPS. Even though we paid the seller for the motor, the shipping, and the insurance. UPS will not even speak to us regarding the claim. The seller did a crappy job of packing it, and UPS did a crappy job of shipping 125lbs. Of course UPS denied the claim. I hope you have better luck on your problem then we are having on ours.

Just gettin back to this. Wasn't suggesting the screw up was yours, and I agree the problem definitely shouldn't be yours. I was just makin an observation on life in general. Just a shame if the responsible party doesn't Own Up. Again...hope this works out for you.
