middle of the road view of the inauguration

I had similar thoughts today. first, proud day when you inaugurate a democratically elected president, from any party. Second, we look damn good today. City was clean, cars were polished. we got alot for our $150 million expediture. finally, I kept thinking, say the oath, get in the car and get to work.

Now, I am proud, at this time, of our president. I will be a cynic; skeptic. but we can all agree that we need him to succeed. so i plan to give him some lee-way. But i will be the first to join the critics if he drops the ball. i put him in the same position as denzel washington in Remember the titans. You will remain head coach as long as you win. lose a game, and you're out.

If Obama succeeds, our businesses succeed. and I have a wife and kids with good taste and expensive needs. So I want obama to succeed.

As I watched the BS today with Pelosi and Hillary and all my favorite people in attendance...I kept thinking: "Where are the terrorists when you need them?"

This is how is works in my business. You have a job until the revenue drops.

If I succeed, I succeed.
Because of the fact that my business is purely results-evaluated... I have to find a way to succeed regardless of what the president does or does not do. I wish him, and us well... but nothing changes for me in terms of being responsible for my own success.

It's lovely to think in terms of brotherhood and unity as Americans. It feels great to talk about putting partisanship aside and moving forward for the greater good of the people. But Obama didn't just graduate from high school and this isn't his senior road trip. The direction we go moving forward is going to go somewhere. And (giving Obama a break on this one) if Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are steering the car, let me off at the next corner.

Partisanship had its day off- yesterday. Today, we need to keep these liberal extremists from dragging us headlong into another catastrophic experiment in socialism.
