Scotty flying high in the second race. No oil pressure problems this time. He ran really strong for his competition being out of it with the broken drive. It will be interesting to see how the year plays out for him. He bought the new Fountain to run triple engine P3, then was going to run the single engine actually a P4 boat, until the twin engine was done. Now he has the P3 crown sewn up, all he has to do is show up at the remaining couple of races. Will they let him keep his points if he runs the entire season with a "temporary" boat? We'll see. Kilt can't be happy if that happens......
I spent a bit of time chating with Doc after the races. There was a huge difference in Snowy between the way it handles durting the first race and the last. He said they moved a bunch of weight forwardand it made a huge difference in the handling. The first race Byrider won, Snowy won the second.
Byrider was kind of the opposite. I finally got to meet and chat with Mike, they ran really strong the first race, had some kind of an issue part way into the second race and couldn't keep the performance up.
Byrider also ran really strong. They were well out in front when a header broke apart and almost caught the boat on fire. But, up until that happened, they were flying...
