If you look at the four engines, you can see how high the outside ones are mounted. Plus, they had the new streamlined GT gearcases. They said the boat weighed just over 14,000 pounds and was over 100 mph.......
Unveiled at the Miami Boat Show in February, the HydraSports Custom 53’ Sueños represents a new level of center console fishing boat, winning the show’s coveted Innovation Award. Not only is it the world’s largest outboard powered center console, the Sueños (“Dream”) offers refinements never before seen on an open fisherman.
Advanced composite construction utilizes vinyl ester resin, advanced Prisma single-skin hull and transom plus a MEGAFORM stringer system, translating into a hull that’s much lighter and stronger than would be expected for a vessel of this size. In fact it’s the first ever recreational boat, benefiting from the Navy’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) technology, to earn a MIL-TOUGH rating. Another industry milestone is that the engineering team, put together by Hydra Sports, accomplished the design and build in only 9 short months.
Available with quad outboards from Yamaha or Seven Marine, the Sueños was designed for maximum performance as well as agile control with joystick steering. The visibility from the elevated driving station, behind the helm, allows the captain to see 360 degrees unobstructed. Navigation and systems control, while underway, is enhanced by triple Garmin 8000 series MFDs. Peace of mind comes from a Master Volt charging system that monitors the batteries on board.
Length is 52 feet, 11 inches and beam is 13 feet. Standard fuel capacity is 1,000 gallons. At present no motor manufacturer produces an outboard large enough, in a quad configuration, to surpass the maximum horsepower range.
Now you may be asking yourself, why build a boat of this magnitude? The answer is simple. HydraSports CEO, Elias De La Torre III, reacted to his loyal customers requests and not only delivered what they asked for but exceeded their wildest dreams (“Sueños”). Every HydraSports is custom built to the owner’s specifications. See www.hydrasports.com.
