Mercury Racing Recall Notification

Got a recall notification in the mail today from Mercury Racing. Their is a recall for Improper Overcurrent Protection on Starter solenoid and Alternator sense circuit. Service Bulletin #2008-5. It says to take it to your dealer and have a kit installed at no cost. Called Mercury racing customer service, thought it was just the 700 and 600 sci's but was told it includes the 525's as well. Anyone else got this notification?

Eric ordered mine 3 weeks ago and I guess it will be another month or so on back order.

Got mine in the mail today. Do you think it is something that has to be done? The boat has worked fine for 180 hrs. and the nearest Mercury shop is quite a ways away.

Yep. But its $100 out of pocket for my mechanic to make a service call to my high and dry...warranty or not.

Got my letters as well, and a couple for the old boat.
