Mark (Specialized P5-12) Needs Your Prayers!

After racing side by side with Mark "actually trying to play catch up" lol for 2 years I know one thing for sure. Mark is tuff as nails and will fight this thing and Win because thats what Winners do. Get well soon buddy and can wait to chase you around the big pond in 2010.

Update, just got off the phone with Mona with good news. The infectious disease specialist have identified the problem. They both got a rare bacterial infection, most likely contracted from his hot tub. This infection got into his blood stream resulting in septic shock. At this point he's stable and now the docs can give him proper treatment.

Damn hottubs...apparently it wasn't hot enough. I dumped a bottle of bleach in mine before we got in ours...Gotta watch those things. :eek:

-Just spoke with Mona, the past couple days have been pretty rough. Mark is still in ICU and back on the respirator. The pneumonia is much worse, his lungs are filled and he's having an extemely hard time breathing.

Please keep him in your thoughts.

-Just got off the phone with Mona, Mark is doing much better. He's now breathing on his own and it sitting up and talking a bit. They greatly appreciate all the positive thoughts and well wishes!
