Have no Idea what these look like....I took some video...I'll have to figger out how to load those up to Youtube, then load em here....Right as both CMS boats came around the turn...two Manatees went straight across the course....nobody saw them except about 10 of us taking pics.....Mums the word:reddevil:

Hide your Childrens eyes...this could be ugly.

Was standing next to a buddy who took a lot of shots, and is going to send them to me...also stood next to Lumantics Photography, who were exclusively covering CMS...nice folks..

Billy Mauf was absolutely spankin it...but dropped out...Amsoil took over, with Cleveland Construction just doin laps. Miss GEICO blew two engines in testing and did not race , So CMS just ran a two boat Ballet " in the corners....Stihl did not even complete one lap...and went back to to port

Stihl and Clevland Construction hit each other in first turn I think which took Stihl out. Pic only loads upside down. Sorry, I'm challenged in this dept. image.jpg

From one of those in one of the boats, they were bumping hard enough (more than once) that several bulkheads separated on Stihl and a trim tab was broken on Cleveland, among other things (like the side of the hull).

How was the viewing for the race with the new course setup? I noticed the cameraman and announcers could only see about half of the course and did not know what was happening at the other end.

I'll guess the spectator fleet to be about 300 boats for 1pm race. Don't think any location on shore would allow you to see entire course even with good binoculars. Would think the course should allow more of the race to be seen from the old 7 Mile bridge but the turns only were out there. Weird choice but I'm sure sponsors dictated exposure to their establishments.
