1973 28' Cigarette project boat with custom fit 1994 Load Rite trailer, twin 410HP engines, started conversion from Volvo drives to Mercruisers. Boat has been sitting for several years and engines have not been started for about 6-7 years. New K-plans and stainless steel props which never seen water. I have most of the parts needed to put boat back together but a few I don't have. As stated, THIS IS A PROJECT BOAT. Looking for $6500/OBO for boat and trailer as is conditional.

28' Go Fast Boat

its real easy to reliably pull 500 hp from some of the ls motors, with a decent rpm too.... and I just happen to have a friend with a wrecking yard....

28' Go Fast Boat

that looks like a real 28 but then again it doesnt.... exhaust shouldnt be that low...and the 28s had a ridge under the rub rail....

There seem to be more and more 28's popping on the market theese days, most are in project condition. Seems like there was some guy over around Medina/Akron area last year about this time who was trying to help a widow friend sell one. I can dig through my emails and see if I still have the pics and the guy's email address. I think it was a TRS 80's hull.

The 28 was a nice all around boat. I'm surprised there are not more of them around than there are.

I looked at 28 Cigs before I bought the Brave. I drove one a few weeks before, actually. They are a nice boat. I found the freeboard to be especially low for me tho. I think that the gunwale at the helm hit me at the knee. :)

I can see why people restore them, for sure.
