Looking for a Bug

I need a VW Bug, An old one, doesn't need to be real nice. All I need is the main body with the floor pan and transaxle. No fenders and the inter doen't need to be there. Must have a title or reg. Has to be very cheap and the closer to Syracuse N.Y. the better. I know this sounds dumb but I have a bet and a plan. Anybody know where there is one?

There's a VW mini bus on Ebay that's been shortened. It's about 5' long. I'm having a tough time not buying this thing just to drive it to the grocery store and such. It would be great for Key West.

Thats cool!! I have been watching Bugs on e-bay but most of them are just way to far away to make it worth it.
I have to stay within a budget to win the bet.

I just finished this for my brother in law. Compelet resto and we did it in 5 months but he has way--way to much money into it with out a dime spent on labor.
I know its his $ and he loves it. But I told him I could build one that would cost less than 1/2 of his and would make peolpe flock to it at shows or just on the street. I have a plan.

Oooooo....you were asking about a VW Bug. I thought you were asking about a BUG (Back Up Gun). This is the one I carry.:biggrinjester: All joking aside....VW Bugs are cool. I learned to drive in one. I beleive it was a 1972 VW Beetle. Black w/ Red interior. The car was indestructable. Dave
