I have spent 20 years wrenching on salt and brackish water boats. Since I have moved to Texas 4 years ago I have become spoiled. I don't miss working on salt exposed things at all. I can now assume {and be correct} that things will come right apart. No need to heat, spray, cut, torch, or cuss any more over seized parts...

Those little screws on gimble rings. No problem. Stainless bolts seized in aluminum? Not here. :sifone:

Same here, after most my life in Miami/the Keys I was used to stuff needing to be changed/replaced almost every season, now stuff looks as good after 5 years as the day I install it.
:)

My father-in-law has a 1980 something boat that has only seen freshwater and is garage kept.....boat looks brand new !!!! Salt and Sun are rough on a boat.

I am getting old. I like to cruise around, take a swim and relax. The best part is when I am finished all I do is wipe off the water line and cover her up. No soap or flushing needed.
