I've droped 5lbs. over the last 3 weeks by drinking water instead of soda and drinking Miller 64 instead of Mic Ultra. Yellow fin Tuna is also great for you, hell, any good fish (not really shell fish) is good and light. Ten more pounds and I'm good to go!

Congrats Donzi!

I've stopped going to Chipotle (which I love) for lunch at work and started dropping weight. I just need to make sure to pack something for lunch so I don't stray...

A trick I learned a few years back-

Write down each and every thing you consume. It works in several ways. First, it makes you conscious of what you're eating. Second, sometimes it's just not worth it to have to drag out the list and write so you start skipping those nibbles you didn't need anyway. Lastly, it forces you to honestly confront just how much you're eating and face the cold, hard fact that some of it is really bad for you. Especially when you start adding it up day after day, week after week.

The most powerful anti-health force in existence is denial. Facing the facts is always step one.

I have lost just shy of 20 pounds since Jan 1. I have been staying away from carbs and spending 30 a day 5 days a week on the exercise bike. I am looking to kick it up a bit now though.

Walking 1/2 hour each morning (when it's above 20 degrees) and just trying to cut back a little on what I eat, not a "diet" per se but a change of diet for the long haul. Next year I will be as old as my dad was when he had his first heart attack :(

I know some aspects of my lifestyle aren't very healthy (LOL) but I've learned how to eat and workout almost everday and like it. When it comes to diet, once you get used to eating healthy you will actually dislike foods that are high in salt/fat etc. The trick is making it a lifestyle, not a 6 month diet plan

What about alcohol. I have always been a beer drinker, and I am sure that has been a big part of my weight problems. I would not call myself a heavy drinker. Maybe one or two beers during the week, but in the summer when we are at the camper all the time a case a weekend is now problem! What should I be drinking when I want to drink?

Stick with certain kinds of alcohol. No mixed drinks that are sweet. Beers are tough, but go with the ones like Mich Ultra. As an example, I think a Bacardi and Diet 7 up has like 10 calories.

Bacardi and Diet Pepsi/Coke is 0 calories.....
