KE pan vs dry sump

We use the 14 qt KE cast pan with a Peterson wet sump oil pump. The benefits of any dry sump oil system are that you will likely have less oil interference with the crank and you you can also rig the dry sump setup to create vacuum. The vacuum will give you a cleaner bilge and a few HP. The disadvantage of the dry sump system is it is more cost and it uses more bilge space to rig . Either way, you ended up with a more reliable oiling system vs. a cam driven pump, especially at higher RPM. Also, if you have a solid roller cam, you will no longer have the issue of wearing out your distributor gear. Neither the external wet or dry pump results are likely to show up on your GPS.
