Not necessarily keeping the 6.5L either. It's a '95 4wd that needs a good bit of TLC. Poor guy put a Duramax sticker on it. The engine is in pieces, some under the hood, the rest in boxes. It's got the newer interior.

Crazy thoughts have me wondering if a real D-max would fit. More down to earth idea would say just throw in a nice 350/400 SBC and enjoy.

I don't know what trans they put in there, but I also like the idea of converting to stick. Poor thing only has 3.23s; might be good for highway mileage. :D

They're not much of a tow vehicle. The short wheelbase makes them twitchy side to side and they rock fore to aft on accel and braking.

Dont waste your time 3.23 is a kick in the junk from the start. Plus the time and labor to change to a stick is worthless. Put it together sell for some cash buy a 7.3

if its a toy only you can say if it is worth it.
no matter how you do it you will spend way more than it will ever be worth
like most any toy so again its a very personal thing.
If someone gave it to me for free I would turn around and put it on craigslist
and use whatever I got for boating fuel. :D

I had a old 81 Bronco with a 300 -6 and 4 speed that was low milage and very solid that i bought off a old man back in 94 that i thought would always be cool to put a 6.9 in. Ended up giving it to my buddy because i had no place to park it anymore.

He put some money in it and lifted it and i get to use it whenever i want and i don't have to store it.

Still has the original paint he wants to repaint it but i think it adds character.

I have never seen one of the "newer" body style blazers with a diesel. Is it original? The 91 and older blazers came with 6.2's sometimes and were tanks.I had one of the That thing should get killer mileage with 3.23's and a 6.5.
