Jumping Ship

I have officially 'jumped ship', from Hot Boat Magazine to Performance Boats Magazine. You may have noticed that my 'Thunderboat Row' column didn't appear in HB last month. I regret having to move, but "bidness is bidness". I look forward to working with, strangely enough, my original team from Hot Boat , including boss, Chris Davidson, who gave me my first national job. I'll try to keep you entertained. Look for my first column in the March (Miami Boat Show) issue.

Something new to add to my list of new things tried this year. Brownie, glad to see you're still writing the good articles. Keep up the great work.

Good news, and good luck. In all honesty, Hotboat ain't all that hot...
I look forward to your writings in Performance Boat Mag.

Brownie, thats good news. Better news would be that you are gonna write some stories to post here in the classics section for all of us to read and laugh at.
Come on Brownie, we want stories!

PLEEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEEEEE!

I'm sure the mag is much better than their website. I tried to subscribe a couple weeks ago but was unsucessful. Tried again just now,can get to the Subscribe area, but can go no further. Cannot find a phone # or any contact info. Hey,if anyone is listening,I want to subscribe,I really do, but it is tough. Help!

Welcome aboard BROWNIE !

I met up with Chris and the Performance Boats crew at the NY Poker Run last June and have been submitting photos ever since.

They have been great to work with but most importantly they pay their bills in a timely manner...

I tried offering a little help to HB in the North East, but no success. I guess they have all of their areas covered.

I look forward to your articles now with Performance Boats Mag ! :cheers2:

Best of luck to ya !

One of the main guys is Eric Colby, formerly of Hot Boat, and I believe Powerboat before that. He recently called me for info on the Alabama Boat Ban.Eric and Brownie alone would be worth the $25 a year.

Yes,it was a beeper#. I left my # after the beeps,3 hours ago,no call back. Got back on their website to try again, got as far as checkout, then it said problem with my credit card, but did not specify the problem,or a way to address the problem, and no way to contact them.Pretty poor marketing,as I really want to subscribe and will keep working till I do. But if the casual subscriber has this much trouble,he will just forget it,and let it go. I have Eric Colby's cell #,I will call him later. Thanks,Robert

I will have to check it out. I need a new mag subcription but Hotboat and powerboat just don't do it for me anymore. Too many adds, not enough interesting reading and to many lake racer boats.

So Brownie is a ship jumper! He's been doing that all his life. Literally. LOL

They had a booth in Key West and I signed up for a couple of years. I've been hearing good things about them.

All the best Brownie, and we'll be watching for your column. :)

Bob
