jbs

Met Joe at the Matey's Friday night and he asked if we could be their support boat and tow them in if they had a breakdown. I said ABSOLUTELY. We had their OTHER Joe on board during the race snapping pics and the tow rope ready. After almost the entire race was done and they made Cintron look like it was running in reverse, we took him back to the dock so he could help Brian get things ready in the dry pits. Idled back out to the lake, and here comes Jeff and Joe! Fortunately for them, the Popeye's flip neutralized the race so they still won.

Thanks for a memorable weekend JBS! You guys rock.

OK Please make that clear.

Shafts don't usually break without a crack forming firsts. Notice where it broke,,,behind the seal. Notice the shiny part in the center,,,the recent break. Notice all the rust,,,;likely the area cracked previously.. it didn't rust like that in an hour or two.. Shafts that are rung off from torque typically show a different pattern.

I obviously didn't see it but, I have seen many others with similar patterns..

So yes I am guessing cause I was not there to inspect and touch but, the color is clear and where it broke is {at the seal } is typical.

Jeff should be on with the final story....

I told him it would be here waiting for his comments....

:iagree:, and they should check the other to make sure. At least this time the Hull damage wasn't Mystic's Fault:rolleyes:

easy fix, easy repair, prop removed at skater this morning and actually in great condition, just needs a little buffing , edges are as sharp as ever...lucky they were spinning in this time! shaft will be sent back to italy, spare ones in stock at JBS...updated version out this year, need to start magnifluxing more parts ! for all JBS has been through this is nothing!!! JBS Racing thanks all the racing fans for their support this weekend!! Great fans and venue in Michigan City!!:USA:

Why has the mystic being repaired at Skater? I think they also did work on the boat before also, why is mystic not doing the work?

Mystic did not correctly repair the damage done at the Bimini race this year and the boat delaminated in the same spot during brief testing at the St. Clair race.
Jeff and Joey lost all confidence in them to repair the boat and their ultimate safety rested on a solid repair...with upcoming races and appearances coming up fast, they decided to fix it themselves with help from Peter and his staff at Skater, which luckily was not far away. The boat ran flawless during the michigan city race this past weekend and they have never experienced it to be so stable in the past. It is now back there to duplicate the repair on the starboard side and remove the prop from the transom and repair that damage which was done when the shaft broke during the end of the race.

The whole crew was great all weekend long and were very gracious. They truly are representing the sport to the fullest. I still have autographed pics he gave to my kids from years ago in the Ozarks. He was in his black Donzi ZX having a good time with us at the Horny Toad. Great guy then, just lot cooler stuff to look at now!!!! Thanks again guys for putting on a fabulous show of hardware!!!
