I've seen plenty of car crashes, but this one is amazing

1985 Firebird. They fall apart just driving them. Amazing what happens when you launch off of a guardrail at 100. He actually does a 180 when he hits the bridge about 20 feet off of the ground.
19 year old driver survived and is in critical condition.

Happened yesterday.

They say "well over" 100mph. No airbags. POS unibody car.

My best guess is that the launch and rotation cut his well, airspeed... and hitting the bridge backwards may have helped. Stilll insane. Guys with helmets, cages and HANS devices don't survive crashes like that. Maybe the energy was all spent in the crumbling, and then he just dropped on the ground.
