It's too bad that Jason and Dennis's blower belt let loose on their next attempt. They were almost a second faster than their 161 pass when it shredded.

Would have been around a 170 pass most likely.

And hopefully, you now realize how premature you were in your commentary about how records will "never" fall and how the Parvey's will never come close to their 165 MPH run of last season. (Is 4 mph "close"?)

"What’s more, American Ethanol, a 51-foot Mystic catamaran, won’t get close to the 217-mph run it laid down last year to claim the overall Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Top Gun title." (You may argue that 204 isn't close........)

And the chances of Dennis and Jason Parvey getting anywhere close to the outrageous 165-mph V-bottom mark they established last year in their 43-foot Black Thunder are non-existent."

Not the comment I was expecting from you.

I was expecting something like, "If American Ethanol had started well over the allowed start speed, like last year, they probably would have beat last year's speed".
