I called Tyson and he said they are a 39 and a 41 and it is set for the taller ratio. He changed it from the short gear ratio to the taller gear ratio.

I am assuming that you would change the 41 and 39 gears and not the other gears, and if you changed them to a 42 and a 38, you would increase the overall ratio around 5%. Do you know how much you want to change the overal ratio? A change to a 43 gear and a 37 gear would be around 10 to 11%.
Someone please correct me if they think I am wrong and know how it works. I have not seen how this gearbox is set up and how you can change the ratios.
Thanks big daddy. I talked to Myrik and he said the same thing. Looks like our slip is a little high. Need to find bigger diameter wheel or he suggested less rack. Frosty's might be just right.:driving:
surface drives and the wider tunnel allowing more blade area into the tunnel with that diameter is probably the slip increase... that and probably not quite enough gear.
too bad I didn't know 2 weeks ago, I would of brought back from kw the 16.25/16*/40's that we never use that are just sitting in the back of the truck.
