It has a geared sprocket at the base of the center span, but the ends don't have any kind of skid plates for alignment, curved ends or look like the are separated for movement.
Height and design says no, but never under stood the sprocket.

Found it. In 1982 a derailment damagaed it and was no longer used. It was a swing, but only swung a handful of times.
I didn't start run'n through there until 84

West By Gosh Virginia is where my dad is from. We went white water rafting on the New River. We got out right under that highest bridge in the country. I forget the name of it. I think it is halfway between Beckley, and Charleston. I think it is I-77 that took out a lot of Grandma's farm. It was just the turnpike, and was only two lanes. When it became an interstate, it ran right through the old barn and farmhouse.
