I'll take Landmarks and Geography for....

I went to that same race a couple years ago. My buddy drives a truck for Publix from Ft Liqordale to Key West every night. He went to the races with us.

I checked with my dad. He said it is the same US 19 that runs through St Pete. He said there was another highway over the same bridge, maybe 17?

He had to call me back. He thought I was talking about the bridge over the Columbia River Gorge. Been there too.

Nailed it! First time I had been through there, towin BLees skater I think.. it was pretty cool!:cheers2:

Have to be honest. I had to work for that one. Looked familiar as hell, but couldn't place it right away. I knew from the peaked saufet that it wasn't a TN, WV or PA tunnel, cause they're all flat. I remembered from earlier posts awhile back that you guys had gone to a PR some place. I finally went to the other site and searched hammer's post and found Emerald. Once I knew which way you were head'd I remembered Arkansas. lol...not exactly known for their vast number of tunnels. I remembered it was called Bobby something, but google filled in the blank for me:)

Thanks for posting that Wayne.

Very interesting. Like I said, I was always kind of curious about that bridge.

Me too.
Always studying bridges, tunnels, etc as I drive by for scenery ideas for the train layout.

My uncle was in charge of all the bridges in Ohio. He was an engineer. He was mesmerized by the Skyway Bridge. Uncle Marshall is kind of strange that way. :)

Mackinac is cool. Had a friend riding with me one week. Went across one very breezy night about 3:00am. No traffic, so I stopped on the center span. He says "Why are we.......Holy Chit" as he started to feel the sway of the bridge.

Yea that swaying of the bridge stuff is lots of fun. :ack2:

Got to experience it on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge once during a traffic tie up.
