Personal watercraft crashes
Two people on a personal watercraft were hurt when they ran into a channel marker Monday in Man of War Harbor, just north of Key West, according to the Coast Guard.
The man and woman -- their names were not released -- were rescued by a Coast Guard boat from Sector Key West.
The man was able to get on the Coast Guard boat with minimal assistance, but the woman had to be placed in a rescue basket, according to a Coast Guard press release.
They reportedly struck the Channel 2 marker. Both were wearing life jackets.
The two were taken to Lower Keys Medical Center.
