I Miss Budweiser

Man, that is sad to hear. Sign of the times, I guess.

One of the reasons I qualify for the 250-300# club is due in part to their products.

I'll stick with the Killian's Red and Anchor Steam.

Well I guess I just stick with my Miller Lite, no more Bud Select or Bud Light Lime for me.

What a shame and disgrace to a good name and company

Here is what I sent...

After years of consuming your products, I ,sadly, must inform you that I will do so no longer. Your brand has always stood out as a caring, community oriented organization. Many of the fine waterfront establishments in Florida benefitted from your sponsorships of Boat Racing and Waterfront festivals.

Now, after your recent corporate redirect, you have chosen to cease your funding of all related Sports Marketing sponsorships. It has taken a toll here locally on the people that depended on your support of their locations along the waterways. Everyone I know that was affected by your enthusiasm for our sport is now deeply concerned.

Until such time as you reconsider your decision to vacate the sponsorships of the boating community, in particular the Bud Light Offshore Racing Team, my employees, my family and myself will no longer purchase any InBev(AB) or Eagle Brand products.

I regret that it has come to this but you hurt this community more than you possibly understand.

Damn.. I tried to find my Bud/real men of genius post to copy here, and it won't let me search may posts past april...

Looks like I will be sticking to my Jack Daniel's! Born, bred and still owned by an American company! Heck, they are even sponsoring racing now.

I an tell you that from the great beyond...Gussie is ****ed.

I was a LOYAL King drinker for years and have the gut to prove it...but no more. I understand the ONLY reason they are still in NASCAR is contractualy related....In Bev will kill St Louis. This is a very sad turn of events...what next...Cigarette owned by the Russians or Sheiks?
Taxes suck and so does Socialism...

"A little revolution every now and then is good...no?"

What movie is that from?

AB was a great company. Built by some of many German families who brought brewing to the US. When I was in the St. Louis area for a wedding in 1993 (Middle of july... middle of the great flood of 93) I just had to visit the St. Louis brewery. What a place. Like a city within a city. So much history.
But they explained to us that for the first time, that they were not canning beer. We were watching the cans go by and the line was running... but they had shut down beer production and were canning water to send to flood victims.

after hurricane wilma they sent tons of canned water down here,I still have a six pack somewhere.

They are a bottom line company, period. Everybody knew what was going to happen when they took over

Reminds me of a certain offshore powerboating website who just advised me my annual membership is up for renewal. Since i haven't seen an OSO gladiator running around the country, I'll likely not renew. But the bilge was getting weak anyway.

Thanks for some thing I could cut & paste Cash Bar..

Show your support with your $$- way of the world but more often than not most just say whatever it is sucks but keep on keeping on
