To reiterat what Rob wrote- It was moderation, not moderators. The mods truly were left in the dark. They were some of the first people on board with the new project and did a huge amount of the heavy lifting that got this site up and running.
I won't even blame IB. They had no idea what they were buying. This truly is a unique community. Many of these people have known each other personally for years- or decades. That and this ain't exactly stamp collecting. It's a lifestyle and for many a very significant part of their lives. Where we keep in touch isn't just some casual interest for us, like so many of the othet IB-purchased community sites are.
