Hurrican IDA..Think it will affect Key West?!

With Bob being the WORLD RECORD FLORIDA TO CANCUN CHAMPION as well as the other awesome adventures; I'd trust how you read the info more than I trust the weatherman.

1st hand experience running those very seas is priceless (or pricey may be a better way to say it)

Thanks, Mark. You are too kind. I just wanted to make sure that the info posted was factual and not speculation as can sometimes happen on these sites. I did not want to see anyone cancel and end up disapointed when the run was very doable. I can't wait to get back on the high seas again !!

BOB
which coast are you departing from?

Hey, Joe. I am leaving Marco Island Thursday late morning. There are 4 other boats coming along. The Gulf forecast calls for 5 to 7 ftrs if we were to straight shot it across so will likely run a coastal route straight south to the Cape, cross Florida Bay to Marathon then run the Hawk Channel to Key West. That is 40 miles longer but we will be running in 2 to 3 ft seas which will work for the smaller boats coming.
What are your plans?

Bob

It seems the storm is moving by Key West fairly fast. We're keeping our fingers crossed. Thanks for the weather update Bob and Bobcat. :coolgleamA:
