I've never figured out why they cll it the Solent 80. The race distance is: Race distance of 64.1 NM or 73.76 Miles or 119 Kilometers from everything I have in my old notes, (and upheld from my looking this year).

Maybe in the old days it was thought to be 80 miles before GPS? But it's a boat race in Europe, wouldn't it be Kilos?
