How fast?

My buddy has the same boat/power but it's an 03. Runs 115 all day and can hit 121-124 depending on props.

Adam, you could never insure it. Forget what your broker says, the underwriters would kick you to the curb faster than that skater can run.

Are the 32's really that much better boat than lets say a 32 or 36 Spectre?

160 grand? Is that because it is a Skater and it is rare and desireable or is it that much better a boat.

Sean, I am not looking to buy I am just really interested in the 32-36ft cats. I trust you when you tell me my broker is full of **** with the number he gave me.

WOW Brad!! That does seem inexpensive.

Ok- so why the power taken out? Not every one is a cash buyer and hear it is close to impossiable to finance sans power. They were 525's IIRC- not like big custom power or any thing? Just wondering...

Here a far better 32 Skater for sale 1/4 canopies and NUMBER SIX DRY SUMPS!!!! $50,000 paint job and $50,000 drives everything else is free.
$99,900. Bravos are not the way to go on a cat. Even with mild power they will break as you will be in and out of the water on cats. Skater will no longer build any boat with Bravos.

I do agree with Brad's comments here. You have to be very careful in the cat with the bravo drive due to a malfunction being very detrimental at high speeds and the bravos are very tough for resell on any 30+ foot cats of any serious horsepower. The first 32 Skater listed is definitely modified 575's with the chillers which puts it truly over 650 hp or so. That is a lot of hp and torque during reentry on the cat where as Brad's with 6's is made for this. I believe you would see speeds in excess of 120 mph on the Havasu skater though because 650 hp a side is more than I experienced in a 36 spectre with stock 575's that ran 128 mph with 5 guys in the boat and plenty of fuel on GPS. Good luck with your choice but be careful as mentioned with the XR's on a Skater. It definitely cripples your resale because most don't want to leave small stock power in them.

That skater with the #6's is awesome.

What kind of speed would it run with a set of 600's? Roughly speaking of course.

Their was a similar set up 32 in our area(Chesapeake Bay) dont know where it ended up but we had the pleasure of boating with the dealer when it was new. It had 575's and Bravo's also. It was running 1.5 gears and turning labbed 36 4 blades running 118 with 4 people. It was had on drives, and had some problems throwing blades off props. That could have been due to the labbing. Sweet boat, it was just always braking something.

so I am seeing that a #6 boat is the way to go performance wise but with the transmissions and stuff does your overall cost go up substantially?

Would it be a comparablecost to the broken bravos if you were keeping spare bravos around just to bolt on?

My friends Skater has blown at least 3 bravo's and he had problems with props cracking too. If you can find a #6 boat for a good price, that is the way to go. Blowing bravo's gets old(and expensive) quick.
