How does this happen?

It seems as though the opiate family of drugs are totally diff than others (blow, weed, etc) Anyone know anything about this?

To hear addicts talk about it, it is better than sex. I have a friend who played around with it for awhile and said the first time he did heroin he came in his pants! If I ever got a terminal disease/ was dying I would be on the next corner trying it! But until then........ I'll pass.

i feel just the way most of you feel and really dont understand it. ive had some friends that have had some problems but no one really close. but, i did lose my uncle to herion.i was a young kkid at the time and really didnt understand what had happened but my father ( my uncles older brother) made sure over the next few years i knew what he did and what had happened. my father took it really hard and wanted to make sure his kids didnt fall into the same trap.

I don't know the medical stuff behind it but I've seen guys that can "blow" thru an inch cubed line for 20 years while keeping thier lives together and that have crashed and burned on opiates

brother, as you know, this "biz" is so fla based. I have also seen people blow thru mountains and keep it together. Some fall apart but most have a hangover and move on. There is something diff about H.

We just lost our class president this last summer due to alcohol abuse. We grew up down the road from each other and knew each other all of our lives. He was one of the guys in school that had it all. Lived in a nice home, got all the chicks and his family owned a Chevy, Old's dealership that one day would be His.
He knew that the booze was killing Him but would'nt stop.

I also don't understand addiction. Not saying it doesn't exist, just saying i don't "feel" that. I understand dependency.

I've got an old friend that is completely blind now due to a meth lab explosion. I just don't get it. I've never had a major addiction, so I really don't know what its like.
