Sorry to report the passing of Bill Wishnick.

His wife e-mailed me with the news. More details as I get them.

Very Sad News - Bill made things happen back in the day - He helped me in many ways - he will be missed - He was one of the GIANTS of Offshore - and a easy going and wonderful person - he will be missed !

Bill and I raced together for years. He and Bobby Moore, Big Dirty and I had some real fun and some success. Bill later backed my Nova Marine company. I can say without a doubt, that Bill was the nicest, most unpretentious man I ever met.

I have to agree with you on that about Bill.

Bill raced Street Stock cars at the old Wall Stadium on the Jersey Shore for many years, and it was the lowest class of cars that raced there and Bill was just one of the guys each Saturday night, just having some fun.
A class guy .

Thank you

RIP
Jim

A sad year.
Crouse before and now Wishnick.
His boats have all made history in the Offshore.
He is among the greatest players of our sport.
I hadn't the pleasure to know him personally but now I cry him.

I used to see Bill every morning at the 7-11 in Point Pleasant Beach where we'd both get our coffee and newspaper and talk about racing...and his Z-28 "Bear Cat." He was a great guy and a true offshore legend.
