Great Boating Day, Saturday 9-15-2012

The weather was a bit cool, but nice enough for the performance boats to be out

Met Terri and went to lunch on the top deck at the Kirby.

A few going out..

Gorgeous day for boating and eating outside...

Back at the boat after lunch a couple more. The sheriff sure has an odd looking boat there now.

Anyway, Hotrod2 headed back north to Muskegon, we headed south to home. But, the day was not over. Other friends decided to come to Holland and eat dinner at the Boatwerks restuarant on Lake Macatawa. Now, since we hadn't eaten there since Tuesday night, must be time to go again?

Anyway, had a good time, good food, and took a couple sunset shots with my Droid.


A Scarab was coming in to eat dinner while the sun was setting.

I'm finally back after a few months (2 years) of working to build up Great Lakes Marina in Muskegon Mi. GLM used to be one of the premier Hi-Performance boating marinas on Lake Michigan and after the down turn in the economy a few years back everyone scattered and we lost most of the performance boats. Well it is turning around and they are coming back. I have talked with Rattickle and we are going to start with some stories about the marina and our customers, new and old and the hay-day when we sponsored most of the offshore races in this area. So stay tuned as there is some cool stuff coming to SeriousOffshore.

I wanted to get out this past weekend but the weather stunk. Hoping for this weekend, but again the forecast is not looking favorable. I need to try these props before Winter!!!
