Snow Squall Warning in effect:
Strong and cold westerly winds are producing Major snow squalls off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. These are extending unusually far inland across Bancroft to Lanark county. Zero visibilities in whiteout conditions from bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow are associated. Snow squalls are expected to be particularly severe and persistent from north of the Bruce Peninsula across Southern Georgian Bay into the Bracebridge - Gravenhurst areas into the southern Haliburton county..Where up to 80 centimetres of snow are expected locally today and tonight. Further inland across Bancroft to Lanark county local accumulations of 10 to 15 centimetres are quite likely today in the snow squalls.
The good news is they didn't just have a skim of ice to hold up all that insulation. The bad news is they are still pretty warm. Going to be a while I bet.
