Hey Jeff, Go to the IP and find OSS registration. Check in as press/photographer and get the proper credientials. See Ellen and she might be able to get you onto a turn boat. Or else the garage decks offer these angles.

If you want to share a chopper, I know someone else that might take the other half.

Will do Ron, thanks!

I have used and used up various different cameras and lens. Canon 20D, 40D, and XTI and 100-400 IS along with the 70-300 IS lens. I can't afford the good stuff.;)

I like head on shots but I think I do my best work while showing motion with slowing the shutter down and panning with the boat. Key West was great last year out on the rocks because everyone was getting good air. Can't wait til this year.

Humm, I have the 40D and 70-300IS too. I gotta experiment with the manual settings some more.

I got to tell you guys, the photos you (Ron and Jeff) have posted truely embody the spirit and passion of this sport we all love. It's a rarity to get that one picture that catches the (mostly elusive) angle, moment and subject all at once. Thre's been a few pics on here that have done it but it seems you guys have done it over and over again. Kudos and thanks.
