Getting Ready

I think i,ll just stay on the trailer,,don,t have time to work on the boat this year ,,and you guy,s are flying,,good job ,,i don,t thnk you need to do any more ,,

Do you have any idea how hard it is to trash talk when you are this far behind? :toetap05::toetap05::toetap05: Im thinking but cant come up with anything.:toetap05:

still running the class 5 boat this year.Hopefully catch a ride in an svl for a race.If business turns around I may try to pick one up by the end of the year.

IMO,

As the season approaches, I think we should start communicating with every owner of an SVL. Some teams will do more races than others but it would be fantastic if we can all get together and race 2 or 3 times this year with 9 plus boats.
I do not know Jim Simmons personally but have only heard what a gentleman he is. Larry and I look forward to meeting and catching up with all friends.

Georgie, do not kid yourself, you are the king of speed.

If there is enough interest we can get together .

Wil

94 in reverse, I like, 100mph backwards and sideways and round and round, now that was a ride I'll never forget!!!
FYI for those who don't know, Wil smith builds a strong SAFE boat, we def tested it to the outer limits.

Impressive numbers Wil, they will only get better with more prop selections, George is gonna have his hands full with you guys.

You do have a way with making the "Run" being over exciting......:eek::eek:

ALMOST ,,Thanks guys ,but this year i see a lot of r & d work going on, and that is good for competition,,it looks like Colby took the biggest leap ,,my hat is off to him,,he was what typhoon needed ,since Natoli..good luck to everyone , and be safe,,

Randy,I tryed to make it down to Sarasota on Saturday morning to watch/help Willy & Larry but my Mother in law was doing poorly and I didn't want to go too far. I even stopped at WalMart and bought a nice new cow bell......

it won,t do any good,,the new rules say ,,if you rebuild your own motor and it dynos over 550 ,,your illegal,,but MERC seals have no limits ,,i,v talked to a few merc people ,,and it,s not out of normal to see 560 thru 580. and by now we all know the MERC seal story,, .talking to Willie Ros and his is 580....to mention one,,,,,i,m not whining ,,i,m just not eligable ,,it,s ok ,,I still wish everyone good luck and be safe,,and i will help ANY OF THEM,, we will meet on the race course sooner or later,,:cheers2: party on,,

George,

I don't know what conversation I told you that my engine has 580 hp but I can assure you it has nowhere that HP. Having said that I think 550 HP is on the low end.
Hopefully we can all get to 3 to 4 races and race all the other SVLs. Get those engine sealed and lets go racing!!

Wil

Wil,
I think you will see a few SVL in Cocoa Beach this yr. I think Sarasota would be a great site to try and get a strong showing for the SVL , be nice to see 5-6 boats going at it.

Frankie,

We will be in Sarasota and I agree with you. We need to get 8-10 boats there and I believe we can.

sORRY wILLIE ,,i talked to a lot of people about this subject ,,i remember your rirht you said 566 ??, sorry about the miss quote,,but the fact still remains 560 thru 580 are within merc limits,,
i don,t know what mine will dyno at,,but it,s not worth all the work to r & r for one race,to dyno at 555 and still not be eligable,,it,s ok I,m still going to come to biloxi and root you all on ,,and have a few beers with Mark and Jenni
