General Racing Question?

Thanks for the info. Just for curiosity what do you miss about the outboards?

8000 rpm scream, flying the hull, 100+mph at almost 2mpg. I don't miss pulling the pin out a hand grenade everytime I went to the lake.

Will add the Cat rode better at the same speed, but you can run a SVL much more out of control, and still be safe. SVls have an amazing ability to heel up when on the edge.

There is no way they ride worse than a 24 Bat......:sifone:...And I'm still looking around....

I was right were you are, a year ago. I was forunate enough to reach out to OSS this May when they announced their "racing with the Pros" program. I got paired up with Randy & Team Typhoon in Lake Cumberland. I had never met him, let alone, been in a race boat before. I thought I was going to get to "test" with him, but it ended up being a race weekend in SVL. What a great bunch of guys (and girl). They welcomed me with open arms, and shared all their advice & knowledge. I got to run at LOTO in the Nationals with Schluess again. I'm hooked, and now looking forward to more racing in 2010!

get a svl, or go big and get a catlite. you know running an 2stroke hard it will cost to keep powerheads and lowers. svl or catlite, 525, min maintanence, alot of fun
