GEICO / SBI UPDATE

DD,

As is the norm with you, your stupidty is hardly worth commenting on. But he goes again.

Ok ******here we go

"You have no idea what the outcome was since you are not part of SBI or Geico". I am absolutely positive that you are not connected with either of these companies. Or any other for that matter. No one would associate themselves with you.

"What we do know is that SBI posted all over that they had CBS televison and many racers invested in that misrepresentation. " is a fact not opinion or speculation.

"the only reason Dean is posting on this here is to bash SBI like always", if posting on lack of site safety/control and misrepresentation is bashing than that is your usless opinion.

Finally, I feel pretty confident that I can speak on behalf of the majority on this site, OSO, and the Offshore Community as whole that your constant whinning that you are done, broke and an idiot is getting very old. Please do us all a favor and live up to your word (for once) and be "Done". Go away. Back to your single wide and collect your Obama check.

I raced with SBI and also thought it would be great with the TV..did it happen no..is it sad ,, yes..was it JC/SBI's fault ..i don't think so becasue he also lost a bunch of money on that deal.....

Wow. No one has ever called me little. If you weren't illiterate you would slowly read my post which offended you so greatly and understand that it is simply fact. SBI misrepresented and racers lost $. I know you understanding lying and losing money so you should be able to relate.

I also do not blame the rest of the world, i only blame people that make promisses to me and then back out,,which made me look stupid in the end...but hey lesson learned !

DD, you looked stupid from the first time I saw you. And you have only promoted your stupidity even more since then.

Congrats for atleast knowing how stupid you really are.

I don' know the exact dollar amount, but I do know Dean kicked a lot of coin out of his own pocket to put on the Harrison races in 08 and 09, more than likely spent more money putting those 2 races on than you spent racing both seasons. He also actually raced both races too, infact I bet you could add up the races he has done in the last 4 years and compare it to the number of races you have done and guess what.... the true keyboard jockey will emerge. Dean is a hell of a nice guy, well respected by those he races against. DD you really need to try and figure out if youare going to get your ass whooped (figurativly of course) before you start randomly calling people out.

I know what Dean has done racing and for the sport in the last couple of years, the question is what have you done besides whine like a bitch???

Hey guy's, nothing for nothing BUT...........whatever happened with or did not happen with SBI and Geico is their business. I'd be more worried about the boats that were "TRYING" to kick my a$$ in class 4 that to worry about anything that I have no control over.

The next bashing non racer !!!! hahahahaha:sifone::willy_nilly:

Hey its monday ,,go do some work !

Is this really neccesary ?

No its not,,and i don't know why they always start this either..if somebody else would have posted this thread it would not be one of those little pu$$ys that would of posted on here !:ack2:

No back,,not at all...they all bash and talk chit..but if they see JC, or anybody else ..they all go ..hey , how are u , nice to see u again!!

Screw this..i am out !:leaving:

The lawsuit brought against Super Boat International (SBI) and its principals, John and Deana Carbonell, by GEICO for breach of contract and fraud for failure to produce the CBS television race shows seeking rescission and return of the funds paid, has been amicably resolved and the lawsuit dropped. SBI made an agreement in early 2009 with GEICO, represented by AMF Offshore race team, to include them in marketing and promotion during the 2009 season along with the CBS television show.

While the settlement agreement is not confidential after carefully evaluating the merits of the underlying claims and impending counterclaims against GEICO by SBI and John and Deana Carbonell, the parties agreed it was in the best interest of everyone involved and the sport to settle their differences quietly, and not to further air them in a public forum. The fact that the parties have elected to resolve their issues in this manner should not be perceived as some would like to portray as one party being exclusively the wrongdoer deserving of punishment. From the onset SBI and John and Deana Carbonell made a conscientious decision not to litigate this matter in the industry medium, but to resolve their disputes with GEICO and Miss GEICO Offshore Racing through the Court with the help of their attorneys. In light of the settlement they firmly believe that they made the right decision as it enabled the parties to amicably resolve their issues, and the fact that they settled should not be taken out of context, or that they were the apparent wrongdoers. No conclusions should be drawn without knowing all the facts.

“It is unfortunate we had to go through this long and difficult process, but we were confident of the eventual outcome,” stated John Carbonell, President of Super Boat International.

“While the United States and other parts of the world are going through very difficult economic and environmental times right now, we are still excited about the 2010 racing season. Our events give families a chance to enjoy special memories by coming together to watch some of the world’s best powerboat teams.”

SBI continues to reach out to racing teams to join together towards a successful 2010 by continuing to extend the offer made in February of this year (SBI Working with Billy Mauff and OSS). SBI looks forward to the next race in Sarasota this 4th of July weekend.

What I got out of this is Geico and SBI sat in a room and the SBI attorney realized they would not win in a court case. Geico's attorneys realized they would spend 75k to collect 150k; also not a good business move.

Both party's settled on a amount (lets say 75k) and SBI wrote a check. Not wanting the settlement public is a wise move on SBI's part. If other teams felt "cheated" from the TV deal gone south they might be tempted to step up and sue SBI also.

:iamwithstupid:

You are kidding right that was a joke that SBI wrote Geico a check.
