He was in the news a couple months ago when the terrorist that downed the plane over Lockerbie, Scotland was released from prison due to health reasons (he was dying, only had days/weeks to live). Gaddafi was pushing for the guy's release.

" Funny" is Lockerbie reminded a lot of the plot in When the Irish Eyes are crying episode of Miami Vice and therefore Lockerbie etched in my mind..and Libya as still a Terrorist friendly country. Even more so than all the others.
