Make sure it's a Tilton. Stock style starters don't last long with a 540.

It wasn't going to be forever. Superstitious maybe. Was just keeping the finer points of the power design and build close to the vest.

But I suppose that I will spill it since they are done.

The goal was a moderately fast cruise. I knew that with my bravos I couldn't get crazy with power but I also knew that the boat is a resin bucket. Was looking for around 500hp per side, but didn't want to be running around with pegged sticks to get torque. I was hoping for a cruise of around 45mph with a low rpm. Top end speed similar to stock was fine with me. I wasn't going to race the boat. But since I was putting all the time and money into the engines, I wanted a good strong platform.

I did something similar to HP500s I suppose.
