John, time to put some pressure on your engine builder. It only takes a couple of weeks to put an engine together but the little things like pushrod lengths etc. can cause delays that will eat into your summer. I can't wait to see your boat in the water. It's going to be a beast.

Thanks Ian. We are at the paint stage now. BTW... I used every bit of advice that you gave me on the builds. Right down to the AFRs.

Used your advice on the tow vehicle too. Glad that I did. :D

I love that truck. 45,000 miles in three years, at that rate thet truck will last longer than I will probably.

Thanks Rob. We always have a seat open for you.

+1. Should be one day to dyno, one day to drop the motors in, one day to dot the i's and cross the t's. :driving:Thats how long it took us and were not even boat mechanics.

I give you credit, you have a lot of patience!

It's all good. I have a few things to do in the bilge. The tank project and my mom's decline and passing cut the project off in September. Now I will paint and run new cables and my buddy will be ready to drop the mills in. If he isn't ready then, we'll keelhaul him. (But we'd have to use your boat, I suppose.) :o

The sand bar is the name. best time to hit that place up is in the fall, the day they close for the season, they have a "drink the bar dry" party.

I sort of copied off of The Chief because in an odd way the boats have similar coloring. (Ok, they are phucking pink and blue. :D )

I wanted this color and my buddy Greg nailed it. It's a color that he recommended when he heard my description. Upgrade to large capacity Mercrusier oil pans. I likey. There is a metal flake in there for when the sun hits them. SS tails, polished aluminum valve covers. Should be blingy.

Ok, now back to work. No more peeking. :D

Looks good John. Now you can tell people that they're HP 500's and then run away at 90mph. Painting the heads really disguises them.

Trying to steal some time for it every day. It's coming along. Hope to reinstall the cockpit saturday. The weather has had bad timing. I want an outbuilding. :)
