Ft. Lauderdale show stuff.

I guess I shouldn't have said it didn't work.....it ran okay but it slowed it down 4-5 mph....Fountain took the boat back and rerigged it before delivering it to a customer

I knew what you meant- sounds like it didn't work to me. Thanks! When I saw it; it made sense and wondered why it wasn't done prior but guess that is why.

Love the layout of the sitdowns!

Funny, the Ferrari boat might have had a new home if the salespeople would have talked to my boss instead of each other.

Half of those boats are used or customer boats including that Nor-Tech I believe.
This is how the logistics of a boat show works, be it better or worse economic times. In good economic times, a builder can't build them fast enough, and sometimes asks recent customers to show their boats. In worse economic times, a builder needs to ask a recent customer to show their boat because the builder has the little money he has, tied up in building boats back at the factory. It will always be the same going into the future as well. As long as there are new customers that enjoy seeing their brand-new boat displayed in a large regional boat show. Get used to it.

I got some Merc. issues that I'm try to resolve, even now.
Just found out that Merc. will allow a boat / motor pacakge to be used and demoed for about 10 hours, with out any issues. After 10 hours it needs to be registered.
I found out that the package I got was used by a manufacturer (not naming them yet)for about 60+ hours, and then it was sold as new. Gauges showed like 0-1 hour. Computer read out was about 60+-. My attorneys are getting some history on this and if Merc, won't stand up to the plate? !! some major, well known manufacturer and Merc. will be in deep $hit. I'll go all over with the info.
BTW.. the builder sold the boat as "new".. missrepresented to the buyer, but there are tons of pics, with the boat running in Poker Runs, prior to the sale.

I experienced that same thing at the IBEX boatbuilder's show in Miami last month. The BS'ing reps were blocking access to the product.

sounds like a certain Formula from a Fart Myers dealer...:leaving:

Not a Formula... Let's not speculate yet... If needs to be.. I let the cat out of the bag, when it's time and when it's needed, or warranted... Let's give Merc. a chance first.

Every one is saving their new stuff for Miami. It's hard to have brand new stuff that no one has seen before in Lauderdale,Key West, and Miami. As for the show, Cig sold three fish boats and one new 38 top gun. I would say in this economy that is very strong. We also got one new order for a 40 MTI being built now.:USA::USA:
