Woke up to this horrible noise coming from my front porch. My wife looked first, said its a dog,I took alook. There was a Fox on my front porch, pinned the neighbors cat under the chair on the porch!I asked my wife to get the camera, she opened the front door, said she needed to save the cat not get a picture of the Fox.It was 5:15a.m.,just a little light, but I think it was a Grey Fox.This all happened down town Boyne City!

that is very cool, we just had one run across our back yard about a month ago. It was a red fox. First one I saw in the 30 years I have lived in this area. I guess the little buggers are making a come back.

I had a fox problem at my barn, the cats started to disappear so I found the den and made the foxes disappear

I'm surprised. Usually coyotes will get cats, but not foxes. Maybe a gray, never heard of a red getting them.

I had a Red Fox at my cabin in Horton Bay back in 1990,it had mange, built a house 4miles away and had a great looking Red Fox for a while.First time in town, and first Grey Fox.The Deer hang out in town,I guess the Fox are doing the same.

Mange hit Michigan Red Fox very hard. The Brits did a lot of research on it and found out high protein diets worked well, plus they developed a powder to add to their food there.

We had a litter close to the house here and tried to save them, but as far as we know they all died from the Mange. Only seen a couple in the last few years since.

The cat was fine. The Fox this a.m. was in very good shape.I had dinner at a golf course in Harbor Springs 2 weeks ago,a Red Fox ran across in front of us while we were eating dinner.

I get 'em every once in a while out at the lakehouse along with deer and wild turkeys. Frigg'n regular wild kingdom out there . . . .

these two guys would stay in between me and the rest of the flock at all times when i was in their sight. They are pretty aggressive and protective, if i took a step toward them they would turn and take a step toward me. I dont mess with them . . . . until November :D

Talked to a friend with animal control, they are aware of the Grey and Red Fox in town. They talked to the DNR,asked if they could be relocated, said no,they are in town because the Coyote population is killing the Fox in the deeper woods.

The coyotes are making a pretty strong comeback in Ohio. Used to never see them, now I've been seeing them laying on the side of the road hit along with the deer. My route to work lately is like a bloodbath .

When I used to live/work in Cleveland, I used to see the coyotes laying in peoples front yards hanging out, deer running into peoples garage doors, and had a red fox that used to hang around my apartment. Regular wild kingdom over there!

I had heard its open season on Coyotes here. They are unprotected and apparently a nuisance and starting to overpopulate.

i always see tons of foxes around here and at work. i think they're awesome, i want one as a pet. that and one would help harass my cat.

Coyotes are thick around here, which works out well for predator hunting. :D Occasionaly a fox will come into the caller, but it is a rarity. Called in a bobcat a couple of weeks ago, and not the old drunk kind that we have around here. ;)

how aggressive are coyotes? is there a high incidence of attacks? just curious with the gaining population, we have seen a few out on the shore line by the point we hang out at.
